Brian Canever is a writer based in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born to Argentinian immigrant parents and raised in the blue-collar city of Bayonne, N.J., Brian’s fascination with storytelling was birthed by his grandfather. In 2015, he completed a master’s degree in journalism and electronic media from the University of Tennessee, and previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Latino studies from William Paterson University. He has reported stories on professional cage fighters, Olympians, fraternity boxers, and immigrant soccer players. His bylines can be found on ESPN, The Knoxville Mercury, TopDrawerSoccer, Bleacher Report, and various other sport, higher education, and general interest publications.
In addition to his day job with the University of Tennessee’s news and information department, Brian writes short fiction and poetry.
